The good ol’ days.. God I miss this kid

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

If there is one year in my life that I am going to remember, it is going to be 2011. Thinking back on the year I went through the best and the worst of times.

Negatives:At times it’s really hard for me to look back.. I had things so easy without a care in the world. Some days I wish I can just wake up from this bad dream.. I started losing my mind at some point, but I made it out in one piece. And as reality starts hitting I realize…this bad I’m going through isn’t all that bad =] Everyone goes through hard times in their lives. Going through the bad just makes you a stronger person in the end, right? Right.

Positives: I finally started to take some responsibility and allowed myself to grow up. This is the year I got my first job, registered for classes by myself, moved to a new state, moved back to an old state (lol) looked more into my future, made appointments, picked up medications, yada yada the list goes on. I’ve realized I can’t depend on people forever, it’s really up to me to help myself.

Interesting note: While writing this note.. I took a gander at my forgotten 2011 New Year’s Resolutions.. everything i just said was on there =] I actually fulfilled all my goals for the year!? SWEET!

RESOLUTIONS:

  • Study Hard
  • Be More Adventurous
  • Open Up More
  • Help Others More
  • Get Healthier
  • Create Something
  • Be More Confident
  • Be a Leader

- Time to grow up some more kid. Cheers to making it through 2011.. Cheers for 2012… Hopefully this year will be a little gentler =]
